BOYDPICS.
After turning professional in 1990, I worked for a host of local newspapers mainly in the west of Scotland covering everything from news to sport and features.
Things moved quite quickly from those early days, so making the move to national & international newspapers was the next logical step for me, i was to quickly find out that working for the national press is very different from working for the local press.
Learning to shoot pictures under tight constraints and deadlines was something that once mastered i found invaluable in my day to day job, so understanding what was expected of me and how i would go about achieving that end result has now been finely tuned to make me into the photographer I am today.
I also shoots photography for The Press Association and Reuters new agency covering some of the biggest news stories of the day producing images that gets wide usage across all platforms.
I also started to take on PR / EVENTS photography work ranging from conferences, corporate websites, PR Initiative launches etc, and feel that my newspaper experience and my PR work work well together making the combination invaluable to him and his clients.
I also cover top flight sport ranging from Football, Rugby, Golf, Athletics, F1 motor sport and more.
Over the last few years I have been commissioned more and more to undertake PR work, especially conferences, where once again using his skills allowed him to provide a very high standard of photography for his clients.
I also shoot photography for fishing magazines, a subject very close to my heart as im a very keen angler and can think of nothing better than spending a day on some stunning wild river or loch, bliss, if im honest.
I am very proud of BOYDPICS and the photography I produce for my clients.
